Autumn thoughts..............

Good morning.....and a big fat welcome today to autumn..............

 
I love autumn...........as excited as I was to welcome spring 6 months ago I am equally happy to say "hello!" to this gorgeous season................

I love the idea of collecting pinecones with the kids, lighting our fire again (yes...admittedly I have conveniently forgotten the constant carting in of wood and making sure the thing doesn't go out), purchasing new pulling out and dusting off  my favourite boots, and of course all that knitting to be done!......

 
And with that (and a weather forecast of another hot week ahead....) I shall say.....

Before...................

Hey there.......a few 'accidental' pics to share today........

Whilst taking a couple of 'before' shots of the step/stool I'm in the process of painting I may have wasted a little bit of time snapping away at flowers...chippy chairs....pretty shower caps etc......you know how it is.............

                                                                                 

But I did actually take the 'before' pic.............

                                                                                 

The paint colour I have chosen.....from the back of a cupboard.........is a greenish colour..........a bit paler than I was imagining it to be but we'll see how it goes..........I think the frog will like it.............

                                                                               

See what I mean?..a bit blah?.......I think for a children's bathroom especially that we need more colour............and on that note I am now running to pick up my coffee mug paint brush.......

Painting plans.................

Good morning.......hows things??.........I have been steaming along today and am just about to pull my painting gloves on......well, not literally.....who can paint in gloves?!.....but I do have paint and brush at the ready........

                                                                                   

Admittedly I may have got a little bit side-tracked........lovely pots................

                                                                             
Goodness.....this is a rather vigorous grower........

Okay......back to the painting.....I have about 50 (?!) chairs and stools I have big painting plans for......it seems finding the time is a little challenging though......but today I'm determined to get at least one coat on an ikea step-stool-thingy (you know the ones I mean....they're everywhere.....)..it's currently in a state of distressed timber and sits in the kiddos bathroom but I've decided a little pop of colour might be a bit more bright and fun for them................

                                                                                                                                                                     
     
Just the smallish decision of actually what colour to use!?!.......honestly I'm not overly fussed with this one and it will more than likely be whatever I can find in the cupboard.........and with that I am off.......

Lazy Sunday........

Hello there.....hope your Sunday is treating you right......

It's a hot lazy one here for us so I thought it a good time to share some of last weeks instagram pics.........

My latest obsession....crochet.......it is so hot here lately.......so once evening hits with it's cooler breezes I can whip out the projects and get to work..........

And just because they look pretty.........love the baby pinecones.......my daughter is abit obsessed with collecting these.....which is fine by me!.......
