nothing very extraordinary really but satisfying and enjoyable all the same...
cleaned up our extremely small vegie garden so the kids could help me plant some new herbs etc we picked out together...
the plan being that when the plants grow (please please grow) they will then be so excited and enthusiastic about it all they will happily eat anything and everything put in front of them with said plants in.
Hmmmm....
I also popped some herbs in these little pots to put on a shelf in the kitchen. Not too sure if they'll actually grow inside but I love the look of potted herbs indoors not to mention the convenience of just reaching over the bench to pick some to throw in the dinner!!
And look what I found thrown out behind the shed (?!)....
I'd actually forgotten we had this birdcage. I'm thinking it may look nice with a lick of paint? Not sure what colour yet. Although look at that gorgeous rust!...
More baking. Recipe to share soon. I always TRY to get some baking done on the weekend so the kids may have some sort of food to eat in school lunches. Always good to feed ones children I suppose...
And we managed to get this very small but much thought about project done too. The two panes of glass either side of the front door seemed a lovely idea when we built the house and they do provide good light into the hallway...
But I didn't like the lack of privacy (even though we live in the country, I'm just abit nerdy like that?!) and looking at a cold black window at night so thought we'd give these curtains a try. They are just plain calico ones we used on the bedroom windows when we first moved in so it's costing us nothing to try. If they work out I'll replace these with some nicer ones...
And this pic I just like so am sticking it in here....
Happy Monday.....
Janelle xx
