So...one of my little make-over subjects has been this snazzy little coffee table which I picked out of the back of a second hand shop for the princely sum of $15. She wasn't exactly looking her best when I found her but oh...the potential!!
I immediately loved the size and height of her and the look of the slats underneath...not to mention how practical they would be to shove magazines, craft, the odd John Deere tractor and toy sheep etc......
I really didn't like the wheels that she was sporting but I DID love the whole concept of having a coffee table on wheels as we can just move it around the living room and out of the way if we need to. I wanted kind of chunky sized wheels and spied these in a bargain shop last week...I think they work nicely. We (as in Mr WF) decided to chop off the legs by a few inches to lower the whole thing which I think gives a nicer look and balance to it all......Nice one Mr WF!!
It is the perfect size for our living room and when we want it out of the way it fits nicely in between the two sofas as a side table....
I just love this old girl....can you tell?!? She is not expensive (Ha! That is for sure!!) and is certainly nothing flash with quite a few bangs and bruises to her but I really couldn't be happier....
Although I do believe we could now maybe do with a brighter coloured rug popped in there amongst all that white and a few new updated cushions.....hhmmmm.....onto that one.....
Ok...I'm off to find something else to fix up.....
