Before...................

Hey there.......a few 'accidental' pics to share today........

Whilst taking a couple of 'before' shots of the step/stool I'm in the process of painting I may have wasted a little bit of time snapping away at flowers...chippy chairs....pretty shower caps etc......you know how it is.............

                                                                                 

But I did actually take the 'before' pic.............

                                                                                 

The paint colour I have chosen.....from the back of a cupboard.........is a greenish colour..........a bit paler than I was imagining it to be but we'll see how it goes..........I think the frog will like it.............

                                                                               

See what I mean?..a bit blah?.......I think for a children's bathroom especially that we need more colour............and on that note I am now running to pick up my coffee mug paint brush.......

Painting plans.................

Good morning.......hows things??.........I have been steaming along today and am just about to pull my painting gloves on......well, not literally.....who can paint in gloves?!.....but I do have paint and brush at the ready........

                                                                                   

Admittedly I may have got a little bit side-tracked........lovely pots................

                                                                             
Goodness.....this is a rather vigorous grower........

Okay......back to the painting.....I have about 50 (?!) chairs and stools I have big painting plans for......it seems finding the time is a little challenging though......but today I'm determined to get at least one coat on an ikea step-stool-thingy (you know the ones I mean....they're everywhere.....)..it's currently in a state of distressed timber and sits in the kiddos bathroom but I've decided a little pop of colour might be a bit more bright and fun for them................

                                                                                                                                                                     
     
Just the smallish decision of actually what colour to use!?!.......honestly I'm not overly fussed with this one and it will more than likely be whatever I can find in the cupboard.........and with that I am off.......

Lazy Sunday........

Hello there.....hope your Sunday is treating you right......

It's a hot lazy one here for us so I thought it a good time to share some of last weeks instagram pics.........

My latest obsession....crochet.......it is so hot here lately.......so once evening hits with it's cooler breezes I can whip out the projects and get to work..........

And just because they look pretty.........love the baby pinecones.......my daughter is abit obsessed with collecting these.....which is fine by me!.......

Beach day.......

Well hello there.....Monday rolls around again and here we have another hot one........our air-conditioning has been on the blink and by mid afternoon, despite our best efforts to keep things cool,  it does get very VERY hot so.....yesterday we decided to make a run for it to the beach........

                                                                               

 
And boy.....was it worth it........

Surfing to be had......(actually that is a total stranger but I liked the pretty pink board)........

                                                                                 

And of course some kind of beach ball game....??......

 

All up a perfect way to spend a hot Sunday summer's day.......

Cake love........

So....today is Valentines Day.......and my 5 year old (!??!) insisted we make a heart shaped cake......

    

We don't usually tend to get too excited about this day but give us a reason....any reason......to bake a cake......yep.....we'll jump on that thanks........

 

Instructions thrown over her shoulder as she waltzed off to school this morning were to decorate it pink and green........so there we are.......

Little lovelies.......

Hey there.....hows things this sunny Wednesday?.........all going well here.....

                                                                             

Yesterday I found myself taking a little last minute day trip with my sister......she was checking out dresses....I was checking out junk shops........

And this is one of the lovelies that made the journey home with me........well actually two lovelies.......
