Our week.......

Hey there.....just popping in quickly this morning to share a few instagram pics I've snapped this week.......which of course must include a little xmas.......

And finally....a little sneak peek at the latest project......we now have white legs.......and I am loving them!.......

A little facelift.......

Good morning.....did we survive christmas??......there's certainly lots of new mess goodies laying about this house. So...what do we do now that xmas day has passed....the kids are all happy and amused with their new toys etc.....and a husband who usually works very long hours is suddenly under everyone's feet home on holidays?......bring on the projects of course!! First up......the family dining table......

I love this table.....Mr WF put his clever tradie skills to good use a few years back and whipped this up for us.......he used recycled pine floorboards for the top and we found the legs at an antique shop......threw some laquer on the top and a bluey-grey colour for the legs......and that is where the project begins.......

The laquer was looking all abit too orangey for my liking.......and the legs.....well.....wouldn't they look more attractive WHITE??!?.....

At this stage I'm going with the plan of white distressed bottom and legs (good grief....could be talking about somebody I know....hhmmm....) and an oiled top (again.....could be......)

However we'll see how we go......as with all good plans....they are likely to change at any time........in the meantime.........

The good old white round table has been dragged back inside to be used as our dining table.......apologies for the terribly dark pic....but she does actually look really quite lovely sitting there........and that is it for me today......I'm off to do a little more stripping......of the paint variety excuse me!!!!?!.....

Xmas wishes from the kitchen.......

So....it's Christmas Eve!.......

I love christmas eve almost more than christmas day.......it still has all the excitement and christmassy cheery feel to it......but with the added anticipation of what's yet to come........

In the meantime we've been doing a little xmas baking around here.......for the big guy.......

Always a good thing.......

We're loving the school holidays..... spending time at home.......looking forward to the beach.....and most importantly of course.......waiting for Santa........hope he likes these........

Xmas in the kitchen......

Hey Ho......busy busy busy around here at the minute.....just like everyone at this time of year I'm sure........but there's always time for a little re-arranging....xmas style of course......

Using mostly reds and whites this year......

With a dash of silver........

I'm liking the dash of red in my kitchen.......for now anyway!.......

And nature always seems to provide the best decorations........

  
Now I think we just need to add some twinkly lights and we're right to go.........

And she's up!!!.....

Hey there......feeling quite pleased with myself this morning.......we finally have a christmas up.....and even decorated........phew!.......

Having a special birthday to celebrate in early December.... which we like to focus on before getting all the christmassy things started...... is always a little tricky but worth it I think.......but now we are certainly well and truly in christmas mode........

White decorations??.......just a few..........

 
And, most importantly, presents........actually we're a bit light on those at the moment.......hoping to improve on this probably xmas eve over the next few days.........

So how's things at your place?.......super organised??.......last minute panic??.......

I'm now off to watch, what is sure to be, a spectacular kinder christmas concert........

Getting there slowly.......

Morning folks........let's get decorating shall we?.......

That would be christmas decorating.....of course.......

Actually I'm a little behind in the old christmas decorating department this year........

But we do have all the very attractive cardboard boxes full of our decorations sitting about the house ready to unpack........nope......not showing pics of those.......

                                                                                      

I've been on the hunt for some cute star fairy lights to hang and was quite excited to find these pretty little ones on the weekend......from kmart.....good old kmart......I love having them twinkle away at night........

                                                                                
And so now I will be off.......to decorate trees and other such things........
